Sree Narayana Mission Senior Secondary School was started in the year 1967 and is managed by Sree Narayana Mission. The school got its name after the great saint Sree Narayana Guru. It is a co-educational English medium school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. It offers education to the students from Pre.K.G to class XII. The school provides a friendly environment to the students and nurture them with academics, cultural and moral values.
Academics Sree Narayana Mission Senior Secondary School follows the CBSE guidelines and provides education to the students as per the NCERT syllabus. The school uses technology and text books to improve the subject knowledge of the students. For KG kids, the school follows play way method and involves the kids into activities such as drawing, singing, dancing, recitation, coloring, paper cutting and recitation.

Infrastructure The school is located at an accessible location in Mambalam, Chennai. The campus is large and has 4 blocks. To conduct classes, the school has spacious and well-furnished classrooms. To deliver knowledge to the students, the school uses advanced technology based teaching aids such as Computers, LCD projectors, Multimedia content, audio and video devices. Separate well-equipped modern laboratories are available in the school for Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Integrated Science and Computer Science. The school library is well-stocked with many books in different genre. To conduct cultural events and meetings, the school has an auditorium named Devaki Amma auditorium with a seating capacity of 1000 persons. Dr. K.B. Thilagam Indoor stadium is an indoor stadium which is available within the school campus to conduct sports activities and yoga classes. In addition, the school also has a computer center, an ayurvedic dispensary and an extension counter of Dhanalaksmi bank.
Activities To develop the physical growth, personality and creativity, the school motivates the students to participate in the Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) such as music, dance, yoga, arts and craft. The school follows house based system and brings out the literary talent and other special talent of the students by conducting inter-house competitions on various activities involving literature and CCA. Totally the school has 4 houses- Phoenix, Pegasus, Unicorn and Griffin and each student has been allotted a house.
