Eligibility Criteria
The basic eligibility criteria for pursuing B.Tech Telecommunications course is a pass degree in Higher Secondary Examination or 10+2 with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as a subject from a recognized college or university.
The admission in B.Tech degree is done through merit based process. But, if someone is getting through IIT JEE Mains, then he / she will need to have at least 50% marks in aggregate in 12th class with Physics, Chemistry and /mathematics as a subject and a good rank in JEE.
Lateral Entry
If he / she has passed Diploma in Engineering course with a minimum of 50% marks, then the candidate is eligible for lateral entry in the 3rd semester.
Course Duration
The minimum duration of B.Tech Telecommunications course is 4 years which is divided into eight semesters with each semester lasing for a period of six months.

Candidates who have an interest in Science and Mathematics with knowledge of computer and programming languages can opt for this course without thinking much. Apart from this, candidate should have good communication skills, an innovative mind and analytical skills.
