Introduction
Somaiya Vidya Vihar was established in 1959 by famous industrialist and philanthropist K J Somaiya who was awarded Padmabhushan by Govt. Of India . His son Dr.S K Somaiya strengthened the activities and continued his efforts and now the Vidya Vihar hosts about 16 institutes in the same campus for various streams of education in the areas of Arts, Sciences, Management, Humanities, Philosophies and Social Sciences.Somaiya Vidyavihar is spread over 90 acres of area in central Mumbai with more than 35,000 student residents and 1,700 teaching staff. Some of its colleges are affiliated to the University of Mumbai. They are made to get expertise in the vital components of management namely planning, execution and monitoring Corporate Communication and learning emerging trends in brand related marketing communications globally and in urban and rural India.
- Health care Management: Post Graduate Program in Healthcare management is now a trending subject much sought by many aspirants because of the growth of Pharma industry and the fast growing hospitals in private sector. This programme is launched by the Institute in collaboration with Imperial College UK with an intention to inculcate managerial competencies by imparting comprehensive knowledge in Healthcare sector. - Executive Programme:The PGDM Executive Programme is a short term course of 15 months.
