If ISC was not there or you had not known ISC...what?

The above used to be a forum subject periodically for discussion when members were happy and elated with the the activity and the rewards/cc from ISC. I give the link for a couple of such forum threads for a realistic comparison and placement as the situation is almost more or less happening now. Though only a few of the erstwhile respondents are at present active, it will be worthwhile to compare about each of us' present feel and reaction.

What would you be doing had ISC not been founded?

How did you spend your time on internet before joining the ISC?

Before ISC also we were spending our time and now after ISC also we are spending our time. We will have many options to spend our time. I was busy till 2017 and from 2009 to 2016, even though I knew about ISC and got registered on ISC, I couldn't spend time there on this site as I was very much occupied with my professional obligations. I was not even getting time to spend with my family members. In 2017, my responsibilities on my professional side came down and I was getting some free time and started spending time here. After the closure of ISC temporarily, I am spending more time on YOUTUBE.

I always spending time in searching something and reading from it. Like that one day I was searching for a school and landed in ISC. Initially I was regular in ISC contributing forum, article and ask experts. Later I was away from AE due to some persons wrong information sharing and I exposed that with editor and later on came out as I feel of tiresome in exposing. Even I got appreciation virtual gift from that editor. Slowly articles also faded away and stick to forum and very later only reading was my habit. But I don't know I can't take this sunset. Let us wait and see.

I was feeling quite low and floundering when the closure announcement dropped in on the forum. It was like my wings were clipped. For quite a while I was browsing various sites aimlessly. Then I came to grips and decided to put up content on my travel blog. Also, like earlier, I have been regularly reading books hired from a local library and with ISC taking a back seat, I got time to turn more pages than usual!

I feel a little sad, too, that those members with whom I have been communicating for the last year or even more have not once responded to my query about how they are even if, for whatever underlying reason, they no longer wish to reconnect with ISC or interact with me. Have the relations soured so much that they do not even wish to answer a simple, "How are you?"!

I sincerely hope that the migration does not take too long as I fear that when there is too much of a gap, it is human tendency to just lose interest and have difficulty in getting back to something done earlier. Let's hope we stay connected in the forum till then.

It is precisely for this that I come churning out some or other threads and responses. Just keep afloat till we reach a shore.
