University of Mumbai BMS-MBA integrated course admissions 2019-2020


Want to do an integrated BMS and MBA course from Mumbai Univesity? This article provides details of the entrance test to get admission to the BMS-MBA integrated course offered by the University of Mumbai at its Thane sub-campus. Details of the course, Mumbai University Common Management Entrance Test (MUCMET) and the application procedure have been provided for quick reference.

The University of Mumbai has issued the admission notification to the integrated BMS-MBA course for the academic session 2019-2020 at its Thane sub-campus. Students who wish to join the course have to appear for the Mumbai University Common Management Entrance Test (MUCMET).

About the BMS-MBA ccourse

The course is for five years, over the duration of 10 semesters. The 60 seats available for this course will be filled up as per the All India Merit Rank of MUCMET. 85% of the seats will be reserved for students who are domiciled in Maharashtra and fulfil all the eligibility requirements. Details of the syllabus are available at the official website

Course fee: For each semester from the first to the ninth semester, the total fee is Rs.50,000/-. For the final semester, the total fee is Rs.50,270/-. For the first semester only, the fee includes admission fee, enrolment fee, and document verification fee. These three are not to be paid for the course fee for the other semesters. The course fee includes tuition fee, development fund, exam fees, utility fees, etc.



Eligibility requirements

Educational qualification: You should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate/Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent certificate from a recognized Board.

Qualifying exam marks: You should have scored a minimum 45% aggregate from Science, Commerce, Arts or any other stream or discipline. For reserved category candidates, 40% aggregate is acceptable.

Age criteria: You should be below 20 years of age as on 21st June 2019. For reserved category and PWD candidates, those below 22 years are eligible to apply.

About MUCMET

The entrance test MUCMET to get admission to the BMA-MBA integrated course is of two hours' duration, with 50 objective type questions for a maximum of 100 marks. The four sections are:
Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension: This is for testing English skills, such as the use of phrases, vocabulary, grammar, etc.

Quantitative Aptitude: This is for testing the ability to solve arithmetical problems and make numerical calculations quickly.

Logical / Abstract Reasoning: This is for testing data-interpretation skills through questions involving graphs, diagrams, etc.

General Awareness This is for testing general knowledge, knowledge of current affairs, business, etc.

One mark is given for each correct answer and -0.25 for an incorrect answer. All the questions are compulsory and you must use only a black or a blue ballpoint pen in the answer sheet.

Entrance test fee: Rs.500/- to be paid by Demand Draft (DD). Reserved category candidates should pay a free of Rs.250/-.

Date of Test: 21st June 2019, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

How to apply

It is advisable to check the course syllabus, fee break-up and eligibility requirements before applying. Applications should be submitted in the prescribed form which is available at the official website of Mumbai University Thane sub-campus along with a Demand Draft for the entrance fee, of any nationalized bank in favour of 'Finance and Accounts Officer, University of Mumbai'.

The Hall Ticket format is also available at the official website. Students must produce this, along with your photo to be pasted at the space given for it, and signature, at the time of the written test.
