ADMISSIONS TO B.TECH DEGREE (EVENING) COURSE - 2009 - 2010
DIRECTORATE OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION, Govt. of Kerala invited applications from eligible students for the admissions 2009-10 to B.Tech Degree Evening Course (Civil Engineering) at Govt. College of Engineering, Kannur. Evening (Formerly Part-time) Degree Courses are for students possessing Diploma to acquire Bachelor Degree in Engineering. The Course extends over a period of four academic years. The classes will be conducted normally in the evening on all working days and on holidays.
B.TECH DEGREE in CIVIL ENGINEERING (Evening Course)
No. of seats : 40
Eligibility of Admission :
(a) Candidates shall be Indian Nationals employed in Kerala State.
(b) Candidates shall have passed Diploma in Engineering/Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education or equivalent.
(c) Candidates should be in permanent professional employment at the time of applying. They should have at least two years of professional experience at the time of applying after passing the Diploma Examination in any of the following type of establishments:
(i)Government Organizations.
(ii)Quasi- Government Organizations.
(iii)Industrial firms duly registered under Co-operative Society’s Act.2
(iv)Public or Private Limited companies registered under Companies act.
(v)Private-aided Polytechnics and Private-aided and un-aided Engineering Colleges in the
state.
Fee Structure :
1- Admission Fee : Rs. 600 to be paid at the time of admission
2- Tuition Fee : Rs. 7000 per year to be paid in two installments
3- Special Fee : Rs. 1200 per year to be paid in one installment
4- Caution Deposit : Rs. 1000 to be paid at the time of admission (refundable)
5- Pre-Matriculation : as prescribed by the University.

HOW TO APPLY
Application forms can be obtained from Govt. College of Engineering, Kannur from 16/11/2009 to 20/11/2009 on payment of Rs.250/- (for SC / ST students - Rs.125/-) as cash. The prospectus can be downloaded from the web site: www.dtekerala.gov.in. The filled in application form and self attested documents should reach the below address on or before 20/11/2009 05:00PM.
