As some great guy said that life is a journey ans we must experience it to make our lives better, I would also like to ass that at certain stages in the journey, people experience and learn more than what they had in all the previous stages. Some things just happen in lige and ultimately make your living in this world richer, fuller and more meaningful.

My two last years in my school have done just that to me. Actually my entry in to the post-metric section was rather unconventional.

I had developed an obsession for computers during my class X holidays but due to my overwhelming fear of maths I opted to take Bi.P.C. as my stream. I was happily going against my destiny when I happened to meet my old friends and when they said that maths was a piece of cake. I thought why the hell cant I? and that was the turning point of my life and since St. john’s was offering computers as a main stream subject, here I was in the middle of the year having no previous sound knowledge of maths struggling to cope up, but the special care that my maths teachers gave me I wouldn’t have been in this position of writing an article. St john’s has always followed a policy of developing the personality of every student along with academics and these two years made me from a scared little rabbit to a bold young man. Being the first batch of the past metric section we were scrutinized in every way possible ans though we hated, it made me at least more focused and assertive. For the first time I become actively involved in the school activities and learn to accept a wide range of thoughts and sentiments not entirely agreeable with mine and to respond to them in equanimity I became bolder and more confident of my abilities. Since the system was new to the administration we had lot of difficulties getting work done, but I learned a big lesson from it. Preserverance pays first hand. The list goes on and I think I most have bored you enough so I must say to all those who have the patience to read through my story that st johns has been and will be a poetic chapter in my life. I know that the future will hold several surprises for me but I think I and any student of st johns can proudly and confidently say that he can overcome the greatest of all the challenges life can throw at us.
