Ratios is a comparative relationship between two quantities of same kind,expressed in same unit.
Eg:a:b
the symbol ':' is read as 'is to'
a&b are known as terms of the ratio
'a' is called antecedent
'b' is called consequent.

TYPES OF RATIOS:

Ratio of inequality:
A ratio a:b is called a ratio of inequality if a=/b

Ratio of equality:
a ratio is called a ratio of equality if a=b

Ratio of greater inequality:
A ratio a:b is called a ratio of greater inequality if a>b

Ratio of lessor inequality:
A ratio a:b is called a ratio of lessor inequality if a
COMPOSITION OF RATIOS:-
1)COMPOUNDED RATIO
2)DUPLICATE RATIO
3)SUB DUPLICATE RATIO
4)TRIPLICATE RATIO
5)SUB TRIPLICATE RATIO
6)INVERSE RATIO (OR) RECIPROCAL RATIO
7)CONTINUED RATIO
