Oh My God! What is he saying? Whether he wants to say cholesterol is good or cholesterol is bad, hope this is the confusion most of you might have got.The answer is Cholesterol can do both. Before knowing the fact,we should know the basics about cholesterol first.
Cholesterol-An Introduction Cholesterol is a lipidic, waxy steroid found in the cell membranes and transported in the blood plasma of all animals. Its main function is to increase the fluidity in membranes.

Classification:
Since cholesterol is insoluble in blood, it is transported in the circulatory system within lipoproteins, there are several types of lipo protein. They are, 1)HDL-High Density Lipo-protein 2)LDL-Low Density Lipo-protein 3)VLDL-Very Low Density Lipo-Protein 4)IDL-Intermediate Density Lipo-protein
What is Heart Attack? A heart attack occurs when blood flow to a section of heart muscle becomes blocked. If the flow of blood isn’t restored quickly, the section of heart muscle becomes damaged from lack of oxygen and begins to die.
Heart Attack Causing Type: The Low Density Lipo-protein causes heart attack. They block the blood pathway by getting accumulated causing the heart-attack.If your LDL count in blood is more than 160 gm/dl then you have the chance of getting heart attack.
Heart Attack Preventing Type: The High Density Lipo-protein prevents heart attack by sticking over the walls of the arteries, ensuring free flow of blood.Hence if you have your HDL count in blood more than 50 gm/dl, then you can avoid heart attack.
