Sachin Tendulkar passed the 17,000-run mark in one-day internationals today during the fifth one-day international against Australia in Hyderabad.
The India batsman, 36, needed seven runs to reach the landmark at the start of his innings and surpassed it, to the crowd's delight at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, before going on to fall 25 runs short of a double century.

Australia made 350 for four from their fifty overs. In reply, Tendulkar made 175 off 141 balls before India fell four runs short of victory, finishing on 347 all out

Sachin,India's pride played an excellent innings for the delight of viewers and crowd.A very professionally played game.He reached 17000 mark during the process. As long as he was at the crease we never thought India will loose Unfortunately after he got out nobody could do the few required runs. Bad luck India.
Determaination and concentration are required then age is not a criteria This is proved by Sachin yesterday.
Dhoni, should think.

It was one of the best we have seen in recent days, but unfortunately it is for a loosing cause, inspite of that he has won laurels from the rival Ponting, it was an amazing knock he almost won the match single handedly, but no efficient support provided to him except from Suresh Raina, before this knock few has expressed about his presence, and said he presence is preserved for next world cup, but his yesterday's knock proved it wrong.

Though the match is lost with 3 runs difference, the record made by sachin will be forever. We all should get inspiration from sachintendulkar. What a great batsman he is?If it is any other player he could have fallen sick by loosing the match at an edge.It is sachin who can play the next match even with more great spirit. That is why he is called god of cricket religion.
