Post spinning operation (ETCE012/EF604)

Unit (1): Concept of drawing ,drawing unit (3),Effect of drawing on orientation and crystallizations(3),Drawing of melt spun filaments, drawing of as-spun fibres through neck formation(3).

Unit (2): Heat setting ,nature of heat set(3),Influence of heat setting variables on structures &properties of fibres(3),Temporary, semi permanent and permanent heat setting, heat –setting equipments(3).
Total of lectures required=9
Unit (3): Method of producing bulk-false-twist texturing (3),effect of process variables, time, temperature, twist and tension on properties of false twist textured yarn,(3),edge crimping(3).
Total of lectures required=9
Unit (4): Air-jet texturing process(3),stuffer-box texturing process(3),effect of process variables on yarn properties of air jet & stuffer box textured yarns, Role of water in air jet texturing(4).
Total of lectures required=10
Unit (5): Tow to top conversion, stretch breaking (2),cutting method(1), Sydel stretch breaking(2),Pacific tow to top cutting system(2),Turbo stapler(2)
