My Jr. College - RMC
|
It was the year 1998. I have just finished my tenth class with good score at J Sikile School, Narsapur which is in west Godavari district Andhra Pradesh. At that time we are staying in Palakol. My aspiration is to become a good engineer. So I decided to join in a very good college where we can get good EAMCET college. So, I gathered the prospectus of the Sri Chaitanya College, Vijayawada in which one of my friends joined. As vijayawada is far away from palakol, I have to stay in hostel for pursueing Intermediate. But my parents are not willing to join me in a hostel as they got the suggestions from my uncles. My friend who joined in Sri Chaitanya College, came back to home after paying all the fees because of home sick. The college refunded back only some amount. Then my parents strongly decided not to join me in hostel. I was very much disappointed.
Then we started searching for colleges in palakol. Finally our search finished by finding RMC (Rice Miller's Jr. College). It is not a big college. It is a school cum college. Ground floor is the school and first floor is the college. The college offers only two groups in English medium. One is MPC and the other one is CEC. We joined in MPC. The time when I joined the college, we feel so much freedom. As we are teenagers then, we don't know the value of life. At that moment itself we started enjoying. Our class strength is 70. Out of 70, 7 of us became close and we named ourself as 007 group.
We have study hour. The study hour sir is very strict. He used to conduct daily tests which is very boring for us. Everyday he is conducting strict invigilation. One of my friends is very poor at studies. She used to copy from my paper. One day he found out! He asked her about the same, then she replied "What sir? you are always watching me only? Annapurna is writing some other answer and i'm writing some other answer. How can you say that i'm copying?". Then the entire class laughed at once including me. Then she realized her mistake of talking about my answer. We used to do that in daily tests only not in annual exams.
In such a way, everyday we have so much of fun in the classroom. Our Maths lecturer is very good at teaching. We used to listen his class with full concentration, so we used to get good marks in maths. Whenever we do some naughty things in the class, our maths lecturer used to say "I can't say anything to you all, as you are all brilliants. Enjoy yourself".
We have a lot of fun in especially in the sanskrit class. For sanskrit, we have a very old lecturer. He is very strict. He never allows anyone if we come even 1 minute late also. One day when he comes into the class, the boys row is full empty. He saw the class and started scolding boys and he felt that he can teach the class happily to girls. When he started the class, one guy came asked him permission to get into the class. Then our sanskrit sir shouted at him and not allowed to enter into class. Then that guy said, "I didn't came back to listen your class, I forgot my bag, that's why I came back". He took the bag and went away. We all are laughing at the time. He became very angry and took that guy to the principal. Afterwards he said sorry and then everything is fine.
Our college timings are from morning 9:00 to evening 5:00.lunch break from 1:00 to 2:00. Though my home is very near I used to bring lunch box because I like to eat with my friends. Sometimes we bunk afternoon classes and goes to movies. In such a way we enjoyed a lot. Though we are enjoying we used to study a lot before exams. So we all are passed with first class. But, none of us got good rank in EAMCET. So we all joined degree in different colleges.
Frankly speaking I have enjoyed my college life very much.
