Dalia Pulav
Items Required:
• 200g dalia (broken wheat) • 1 large onion, sliced • 25g green peas • 25g green beans cut into small pieces • 25g sliced cauliflower • 25g diced carrots • 1 small piece ginger, chopped lengthwise • 1 tsp urad dal and chana dal • 2 / 3 tbsp cooking oil • 2 / 3 green chilli • Curry leaves, mustard seeds, cumin seeds and salt to taste Preparation:
1. Wash the dalia.
2. Pressure cook the dalia (the same way you cook rice).
3. Heat oil.
4. Crack mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal, and chana dal.
5. Add sliced onions, vegetables and chillies.
6. Leave in till they are cooked.
7. Add curry leaves.
8. Add cooked dalia and salt.
9. Cook for 5 minutes and remove from fire.
10. Serve with fresh curd.
