This college was started in the year 1969. First batch has come out from this college in the year 1971. I was second batch student of this college. Mandapeta is near to our native place. Daily we used to go to college and come back in the evening. We were going by bus. I was a student in M.P group of Intermediate. I had 3 friends going to this college from my native place daily. Out 4 of us 2 were M.P. students and the remaining two were Bi.P students. We had a very good teaching faculty here. Mathematics lecturer Mr. I. Purushottam garu was a very good lecturer and he was a friend of my father. Telugu lecturer Sri. Bhatta Sarma garu is an excellent teacher. He used to teach telugu poetry. As usual like in any other college some students used to tease him and he used to retort very nicely. Physics lecturer Sri Prakasa Rao garu was a very good human being and used to tell many useful matters. Chemistry lecturer Sri.B.Sc. BOse., M.Sc was joined freshly the same year and he used to treat us like friends. We had enjoyed our two years stay in this college and even today almost after 37 years I remember the words told by my lecturers at that time. Really the teacher,student relations in those days was excellent and these days students and lecturers if they maintain same type of relation it will be good for our community.
