Google toolbar

Google toolbar is in the market for a short while and within this short time it has been popular with the tech maniacs. I have been using Google toolbar for a while and finding it extremely user friendly. This toolbar by Google has features that are practically important. It has features that save your time; features that make you feel more comfortable to use even your slow computer. It has been designed in such a way that you don’t have to touch your mouse or change your current page. The best feature is that Google toolbar is assimilated to your task bar. So you don’t have to click on your web browser that ordinary toolbar do. Even if you have typed something on your Google toolbar, you don’t have to erase it to get into the next item of yours. I am providing all details below with the screen shots provided.

This is how Google task bar incorporates to your task bar. It will not disturb the quick launch space. But since I have this great toolbar of Google, so I don’t need the quick launch option.
Google toolbar has a default option to fix itself to the left of the taskbar. And I think it is a comfortable position as it is just adjacent to the START option. Thus you can even click on it to use it (although I prefer the shortcut than clicking on it).

The shortcut options available in Google toolbar make it hassle free and smooth to use. At the default option, it has ‘Ctrl + Space’ as the shortcut. And this option is the best one according to me.
Now let me tell you how to use it. If you want to run any application, then you just need to type its initials. For example, if you want to open ‘Paint’. What we generally do is this sequence
START, ALL PROGRAMS, ACCESSORIES, PAINT
But this may look uncomfortable when your computer is slow or you have opened multiple windows.
But if you have Google toolbar, then you need not to do that. Click on the shortcut key and the Google toolbar will be on the screen. Then you need to type ‘paint’. Google toolbar will search even if you type a single word. So if you type ‘p’, then also you will get ‘paint’. Just move the arrow down to ‘paint’ and press ‘enter’. Paint will open up in no time.

Also Google toolbar acts as a searching tool that will show the location of the file/ application. In the above example if you want to know where the location of paint in your computer is, or you want to look at the properties of paint, then just press the right arrow twice and options for location and properties will be available.

Google toolbar also acts as a web searching tool. If you want to search for anything, let’s say ‘apple’, then what you generally do is to open the web browser and search for apple. But you can use Google toolbar for this purpose. Just type ‘apple’ in the space provided and from there you can search for it. The web browser in which the result will come is Mozilla Firefox. One important thing that you should remember before downloading Google toolbar is to download Mozilla Firefox 3.0 or above. If you don’t do that, installation will not get completed and you will have to run the setup files once again after installing Mozilla Firefox.
One thing that is missing is that Google toolbar will not search for folders. That’s disappoints me a little. And to conclude, i strongly recommend you to download it. It never interferes in any of your tasks.
In a scale of 10, I award Google toolbar 9.5.
