One night at " Sutherland Global Services"
|
Hi guys, Sutherland Global Services in Cochin pioneers of BPO sector across the globe and the best in Kerala. The name says it all. Still, I would like to would like to quote a few things about this company. Sutherland has its Headquarter in Rochester, America. It came to Cochin 2 years back with 40 employees; in this short span of time it rose to be one of the leading job providers in Kerala. It is the most recognized firm in Kerala when it comes to BPO sector and I’ happy to be a part of it. After 1 month of training in Sutherland I am finally a permanent employee. Hurray!!! My joining formalities got completed 2 days back. Yesterday was my first salaried day. Here in Sutherland your night becomes your day and your day becomes night. My day at Sutherland started at 4:30 in the evening. I was through to the product and process training. As I entered the room I marked my attendance. Thereafter I started talking to my colleagues.IN 5minutes time my trainer stepped in. He started with a monotonous voice, I was feeling kind of pissed by that but had no option. He asked us to introduce. We were fed up with the introduction, this was the 7th time we were giving introduction but still we did. The trainer introduced him to. The training was getting better by then. After the introduction we had a 15minutes break. I with my colleague went to have coffee. We stepped in to the training room after the break. The trainer asked us whether we can go ahead with the topics. Then, he asked us to group ourselves. Once we did that he assigned work for each of us. We did a presentation on the topic that was assigned to us. Once we completed the presentation our Operations Manager stepped into our training room. He classified our queries regarding the product, the incentives, our shift timing etc. He was very patient & down to earth. Never hurried in explaining things to us. After he left the floor our trainer moved in. He started explaining the products that we shall be dealing with, there advantages, the queries that are likely to arise from the customers side. By then it was 9:30 in the evening. We then had a 30minutes break for dinner .I had brought dinner from home. I shared it with my friend. Then we went to the training room once again. We had our communication trainer waiting there for us to explain the call scripts, hold procedure, call end. She left the room bidding us “all the best”. We thanked her for the help she offered. We came to know that there is an award ceremony taking place in our cafeteria for those who performed well last month. We wanted to have a look at it. Our trainer said we could if we want to so all of us moved towards the cafeteria. It was a grant function. After the function we got chocolate pastries. Then we went back to the training room. By 11:30 at night our Group Leader, Team Leader, Operations Manager, Tier 2 supports stepped in to our training room. There clarified all our queries and asked us to feel free if we need any assistance.cheers to our seniors!!! By 1:30 we had the opportunity to visit the floor and listen to live calls.I found it really interesting.I sat there for an hour or so.My shift was over by 2:30.So I stepped out from the office and went to the logistics department. They make the arrangement for the cab. I was in my cab by 3 and reached home by 3:30 in the morning.I found it interesting.Hope the days get better day by day. Hope you all have a wonderful day!! Wish u all the best….. Thanks Regards, Zakhir!!
