Hi Everybody,

I'm back once again with another interview experience of mine. This time it’s LNT. LNT came my way when I was in my 6th semester. This happened to be my 4th interview. Though everyone, encouraged me that there won’t be any problem for grabbing a job with my potential, I was not able to clear the aptitude round. Each time I attend the interview thinking "This is the job I've been waiting for" but finally I end up sad. There were many from my college who couldn’t make it. We all were trying our best to get through an interview but we found it really difficult. It was really frustrating for everyone. The sad part was my friend who kept attending all the interview I do was the university rank holder but he too was not able to get through.
One fine day my placement officer came to me saying "zakhir there is a placement drive happening in Rajgiri School of engineering, are you interested? If so I can make the arrangements for u." I said "well, I would definitely like to give in a try”. Sir then said he will make the arrangements. I passed this message to all my friends but then nobody seemed interested since it was off campus shot. I had also decided to attend the interview even if nobody gives me a company. This time I took things lightly, was more calm and composed but then prepared like any other interview.

With the plan of attending the interview I came home. Unfortunately, I forgot to take my certificates from hostel and no way could I go back because the interview was to take place the next day. I was really desp, didnt know what to do. Just then I had a call from my friend saying she is coming to Cochin and will reach by 7 in the morning. I asked her if she could bring me the certificates. She said yes but someone will have to get the certificates to her. I said I'll make the arrangements for that. I did and I had the certificate in the morning.

Finally the day arrived. Woke up with a tension. Dressed up quickly and went to the station. Luckily the train was on time and I had the certificates just when I needed the most. I hurried to the recruitment spot, managed to get there on time. Once I completed my registration I attended there induction wherein they explained about the career, life and also the Do's and Don’ts at LNT.Then it was time for recruitment process to begin.

After keeping me wait for a long time I was taken to an auditorium along with other candidates to attend the aptitude test. We were divided into groups. Somehow I managed to clear the aptitude round for the first time. I was so happy for myself. Suddenly the confidence level in me boosted up.

The volunteers then guided us to the first floor of their administrative block were the next round was to take place. In the second round we had group discussion. After the 1st round we had 40 groups remaining with 20 candidates in each group. Each group were put in different classroom and given separate topic. The topic my group received was "should reservation be brought to private sector”. I managed to clear that round too. We had only 100 candidates left after the second round. By then it was 8 in the evening. We were asked to report at 7 in the mooring next day.

Next day I reached by 7.I was taken to a room and was asked to wait along with others. I waited there for over 4 hours. Then they brought in a form for us to fill. Once we did that we were grouped with each group comprising of 12 candidates. We were then asked to wait again in another room.

Finally around 3pm I had my last round of interview which was the HR Round. I expected Technical questions but no technical questions were asked for me. They asked us to wait for the results. Finally around 7 in the evening I came to know that I got selected. They asked me to complete the joining formality then and there and I had the offer letter by 8.Atlast!!!!

Friends, I wish you all a great career. Hope to meet you all at LNT.

Thanks,
With Regards,
Zakhir
