Dear friends,

I attended a number of interviews in India and abroad. I always got a compliment from the interviewers. It is about my body language. Our body language decides what we are.
Any interviewer can make up his mind about you in the first 10 seconds by looking at your body language. Most of the interviewers are very considerate about the way you walk into the room and take your seat. So, always give a confident walk. Walk with you head high, a smile hanging on your face and with a glow in your eyes. In order to get all these right, you need to be cool, sleep well before the day of your interview and you must have breakfast without fail. Greet the interviewer and most of the times the first question to start the conversation will be "Tell me about yourself!". So, always be prepared to answer this with gestures.
Gestures form a very important component of your interaction with the interviewer. Gestures indicate the level of confidence in you. If you are giving sharp and crisp gestures, that means you are more expressive. Eye contact is the next most important component of an interview. Always look into the eyes of the interviewer or at your actions (only during gestures). Too much of eye contact is not good. None of the interviewers like a candidate to stare into their eyes. So, give a break by looking at your hands while gesturing. This is the most important thing to remember. Next important is your tone. Keep your tone the, same right from beginning of the interview till the end. This shows the interviewer that you are consistent.
MOST IMPORTANTLY shake hand very very confidently. I would say who ever squeezes the others hand most he is most confident. But do not hurt the interviewer or else the consequences will be negative.
All the best for your interviews. Just be cool, relax and give a shot at every question with a positive reply. Be frank, direct and honest.
Honesty is the best policy!

Regards,
Pavan
