A walk into my life!!!

Hey buddy,
Let us have a glance at my interview experience.Sutherland Global Services Cochin, a leading BPO enterprise in India and a sister concern of Sutherland global service,Rochester.Man!!! this is on place I recommend you to be in.Its really a great atmosphere to be in.Sutherland has its origin in Rochester,America. It came to Cochin 2 years back with 40 employee and within this short period of time, it claims itself to be the pride of BPO industry in Kerala.Lucky me!!
Being a fresher "whats next" is a question that kept bothering me.Though a native of Cochin I didn't bother to take up a job in Sutherland initially. I had applied to many companies, but I never got a reply than their acknowledge email. I called up many firms and almost all assured me that I'll be called for the interview . But, that never happened in most cases.
I was getting aggravated by the way things were going.I was getting depressed too.It was pathetic. My future seemed dim. I couldn’t complain for my messed life. I haven’t thought about a career in BPO till that moment but then when i had no other option left before me I thought of applying to BPOs. The first name came to my mind was Sutherland.I registered in “Naukri” and all other popular job sites and also forwarded my resume to all possible firms through my friends and relatives without even looking at the job profile.
One fine evening,I made a direct Walk-in to Sutherland recruitment office situated near Maharaja's Ground,Cochin with no preparation as such.They asked me what post i prefer to apply for.I said I'm looking out for a technical support executive post.They said alright!! The security guy gave me the visitors badge and asked me to wait. He gave me a form and stapled my resume along with it. There were few people for the interview.I was then taken to a cabin wherein there was a lady.I greeted her and sat on the chair which she offered.She asked me for my profile,educational qualification etc.Then she asked me whether I know anything regarding company profile. I said: "not much". She explained to me about the company and I was impressed,my notion about the company started to change.Suddenly I felt like I need to make it up somehow as it was a big chance for me.
Then they seated me in front of a computer and asked me to create a temporary log in for me.Then they asked to me to answer few basic English grammar.I cleared that round too.
Next round was typing test. That was not a difficult task for me as I'm pretty comfortable with that. After that round, the HR put me through an online assessment wherein I was asked a few technical questions.I could answer them very easily.Next round was some kind of online test but no time limit,250 questions,ma god!! i was really pissed. The questions were simple it was related to your personal opinions. I was said after sometime that I am through that test as well.Hurray!!!
Then I was asked to meet the HR once again.I was asked to join the next day,that made me happy,proud that I belong to the working class..
So friends,what i have got to tell you is that never wait for opportunity instead make opportunity for yourself.Your life!!,your rules!!
