Punjab Medical Entrance Test [PMET] is an entrance examination conducted each year for admission to various cbarcheler medical courses which are MBBS,BDS,BAMS,BHMS in all dental,medical,ayurvedic institutes across punjab There are about 20 medical/dental colleges in Punjab for which admission is done through Punjab Medical Entrance Test. In all these colleges 85% seats are reserved for Punjab candidates and 15% seats for Outside Punjab candidates. A large number of candidates appear for PMET every year and the competition is quite tough so candidates have to really work very hard to get admission through PMET. Eligibility criteria: A candidate should be a bonafide resident of Punjab with Punjab domicile. A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with atleast 50% marks(40% for SC/BC) in all these subjects. Also a candidate should have passed in English as well. Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2010 can also apply. Also a candidate should have attained the age of 17 years before 31st December, 2010. Availability of Application forms for Punjab MET 2010: The forms for PMET 2010 are expected to be available by May in Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot and also from selected Canara Bank Branches. The form can also be obtained by post from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form. Important Dates(Tentative): Date of Entrance Examination: Mid June, 2010 Availability of Application Forms: May 3rd week, 2010 Last Date for receipt of completed application forms: June 1st week, 2010 Please note that the dates are only tentative and are not final. Med College 20. Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Ayd. College Pattern of Examination: The paper will be of 150 minutes duration consisting of 200 multiple choice questions from the following subjects:.
