Sambalpur University Admission 2009 - P.G.Diploma in Development Journalism

ADMISSION ANNOUNCEMENT 2009-10
Applications are invited in the prescribed form available in the P.G.Central Office, Sambalpur University on working days from Dt. 18.05.2009 to 13.06.2009 upto 12.00 Noon during Morning Office and from 15.6.2009 to 25.06.2009 upto 3.00 PM during Day Office for admission to the following Regular and Self-Financing (Semester System) Courses of Sambalpur University P.G.Departments for the Academic Session, 2009-10.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR REGULAR P.G.COURSES:
Ordinarily a candidate should have passed Three Year Degree Examination in Arts/Science/Commerce of Sambalpur University or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Academic Council with Honours in the concerned subject/ allied subject/ Pass with 45% marks in aggregate. Details of eligibility criteria for specific course has been mentioned in Clause 3( c) of the Prospectus.

In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, the prescribed qualifying marks for admission to P.G.Courses/Self-Financing Courses shall not be insisted upon.
Candidates who have appeared the qualifying examinations and results awaited, are also eligible to apply. Such candidates should produce the result of the qualifying examinations on or before the date of Entrance Test otherwise his/her application for admission shall be rejected.
HOW TO APPLY : Application form and Prospectus except for MCA (Self-financing Course) can be had on Cash payment of Rs.200/- for Regular P.G.Courses and Rs.450/- for Self-Financing Courses at P.G.Central Office on working days during office hours or by Registered Post on payment of Rs.275/- for regular P.G.Course and Rs.500/- for Self-financing Courses in shape of A/c payee Bank Draft drawn in favour of Chairman, P.G.Council, Sambalpur University payable at State Bank of India, Jyoti Vihar Branch (Code 6672) or can also be downloaded application the Application form. Downloaded form should accompany with a A/c payee Bank Draft for Rs.200/- for Regular P.G.Courses and Rs.450/- for Self-financing Courses drawn in favour of Chairman, P.G.Council, Sambalpur University payable at the S.B.I.,Jyoti Vihar branch towards cost of the Application Form. Candidates for admission to MCA will be selected though Orissa JEE.
LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS
The Application Form duly filled in alongwith prescribed Crossed Bank Draft/Banker Cheque/Manager’s Cheque for Rs.200/- drawn in favour of Chairman, P.G.Council payable at State Bank of India, Jyoti-Vihar, towards fee for Entrance Test shall be submitted to the Heads/Coordinators of the respective P.G.Departments/Coordinators of the respective Self-Financing Courses of Sambalpur University, Jyoti Vihar on or before 25.06.2009. No application received thereafter shall be entertained. The University authority shall not be held responsible for any postal delay.
