The College of Engineering and Management, Punnapra is affiliated to the University of Kerala and all other Colleges are affiliated to CUSAT. Application Form along with Instructions to candidates can be obtained free of cost from any one of the colleges listed above or from CAPE office at Thiruvananthapuram. It can also be downloaded from http://www.capekerala.org. Photocopy can also be used.
Application can also be submitted online at http://www.capekerala.org/NRI%20admission.htm. Those applying online should first take the Demand Draft for the required amount, the details of which are required to be entered in the online form. The applicant has to take the printout generated after submitting the form and send it along with the Demand Draft.
Completed Applications (Online and direct) should reach the Director, Co-operative Academy of Professional Education (CAPE) (Kerala), 1st Floor, COBANK Towers, Vikas Bhavan P.O, Thiruvananthapuram-695 033 latest by 15.6.2009 along with the application fee of Rs.1000/- for MBBS and RS.600/- for B.Tech, by way of DD drawn in favour of DIRECTOR, CAPE, payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
Eligibility will be as prescribed in the Prospectus for Admission to Professional Degree Courses issued by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala 2009/relevent Govt. orders/admission rules of CAPE applicable for admission to NRI quota and subject to the regulations of the University to which the college is affiliated, and also subject to the rules relating to age limits and medical standards. Applicant should be a child/ward/dependent of an NRI and he should enclose with the application, a declaration from the NRI in the form available at http://www.capekerala.org/instructions.pdf.
Fees will be as prescribed by Government/CAPE.
Admission will be made by the Director of CAPE through a centralised process on the basis of merit arrived at with reference to the marks secured by the candidate in the qualifying examination. Interview memos will be sent to eligible candidates, under certificate of posting. Candidates are required to attend the interview accompanied by parent/guardian and shall produce all the original certificates/documents for verification at the time of Interview.
A candidate who does not turn up for the interview as per schedule, at the place and time specified will forfeit his/her chance for admission, and will not be considered for admission to any future vacancies.
Selected candidates are required to remit the prescribed fees and deposit at the time of admission as Demand Draft in favour of the Director, CAPE payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Fees once paid will not be refunded. However those candidates who get admission in Government Colleges and in Government quota seats in Government-aided colleges will be refunded the fees after deducting an amount towards admission and processing fee as per the rates fixed by CAPE.
Applicants who satisfy the eligibility conditions will alone be called for the interview for allotment, depending upon the number of vacancies.
