NOTIFICATION
Applications are invited for admission to the following Under-graduate
degree programmes in the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore.
1. Under-graduate degree programmes offered and eligibility

Should have passed two years PUC of Karnataka or its equivalent examination
with PCB and any other Science subject or Inter(Agri.)
2. B.Tech.(Ag.Engg.) /B.Tech.(Food Science)
Should have passed two years PUC of Karnataka or its equivalent examination
with PCM and any other Science subject or Inter(Agri.)
*Also offered in Kannada medium at Bangalore Campus only, if a minimum of 20
students opt for it.
There is no need for CET marks for admission to any degree programme in
the University. Merit for admission is based on PCB marks for Sl. No. 1 and PCM marks for Sl. No. 2. Merit for Agriculturists quota is based on 50 per cent marks of PCB / PCM as required and 50 per cent of Practical Test marks.
Admission to seats reserved for Children of Agriculturists, a Practical Test will be conducted by the University.
2. Reservation of Seats: Excluding the All India quota under ICAR, New Delhi,reservation of seats for various categories will be made in accordance with the existing reservation policy of Government of Karnataka. Provision is also made for admission to the Kashmiri Migrants. There is also provision to admit Foreign Nationals/NRIs/Children of NRIs on payment of prescribed Institutional Economical Fee.
3. Application and Prospectus: For all the Under-graduate degree programmes only one application is sufficient. Applications can be obtained either in person or through post from the following addresses on all working days: Registrar’s Office, UAS, GKVK, Bangalore –560065/ Dean; Agricultural College, GKVK, Bangalore – 560065/ V.C. Farm, Mandya-571401/Post Box No. 39, Karekere,Hassan- 573201 / Navile, Shimoga-577201/ Sericulture College, Kurubur,
Chintamani – 563125 and Forestry College, Ponnampet–571216 / Krishi
Vignana Kendra at - Audonahalli (Doddaballapur) / Konehalli (Tiptur) /
Kankanady (Mangalore) / Brahmavar / Hiriyur / Chamarajanagar from
15-05-2009 to 10-06-2009. Further, the application can also be downloaded
from the University website : www.uasbangalore.edu.in. Only printed
application has to be submitted (not soft copy).
4. Application fee: The application fee is Rs.500/- (for General category) / Rs. 250/- (for SC/ST /Cat-I of Karnataka State only on production of a copy of valid caste certificate) to be paid in the form of Demand Draft only drawn in favour of the Comptroller, UAS, Bangalore purchased on or after the date of this Notification, payable at Bangalore. Candidates seeking applications through post may send their requisition along with Demand Draft and a self-addressed envelope (12” x 10” size) affixing a postal stamp of Rs.50/-. Candidates who are submitting the downloaded application from the University website should enclose a D.D. obtained between 15-05-2009 to 10-06-2009 and specified as above.

The filled-in application should be submitted to THE REGISTRAR, UAS, GKVK,
BANGALORE–65 only on or before the last date. Late and incomplete
applications are liable to be rejected. The Admission is governed by Govt.
Orders/UAS Act (1963) /Statutes and UAS(B) Regulations issued from time to
time. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay.
