How dare she go to the pub and have a drink?
What will come of our society?

These gals who were kidnapped from Chennai and taken to Tindivanam and locked in a lodge and raped probably deserved it.
Another 4 or 5 such incidents will close this menace to society of women drinking.
These are some of the reactions I got when interacting with few friends. I can’t but wonder how narrow minded this line of thought is. How is that men alone can do as they wish and when their rights are violated it is injustice and women when they have a time to unwind it is ‘unacceptable’?

Discussions I had with some people has even led to arguments like ‘will you let your wife, daughter or mother go to the pub and drink?’ Which is beyond the point. It is up to each person, whether they want to relax over a drink or a smoke or whatever. Each person is an adult –male or female. Who are these people who think they have a say over how others should lead their lives?
Personally, I believe a violation of any right should be punished and there is no question of public opinion about it. Without doubt women’s rights are grossly being violated in Chennai too off late.

It is high time women stand up.

Hi puja, i too dont accept a talk on women's ideality. she has all the freedom to think , to work , to enjoy and leadership . but I dont accept the concept of women drinking alcohol because it is a very bad habit and one cannot leave it and when it accounts to women being pregnant and during periods the whole system of hormone imbalance occurs and it affects her health and future make up of her body. I have heard the actress drinking to relieve themselves from the pain of hard work, but i think they got to choose a better way to relax than drinking which is not an ideal habit or beauty for women. what do u think?
