Training Programme on Sanitary & Phytosanitary Measures & Risk Analysis

Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad with technical support from USDA-APHIS and Tuskegee University, USA is organising a Training Programme on “Sanitary & Phytosanitary Measures and Risk Analysis to Promote Agricultural Trade in India” to be held from 9-12 March, 2009 at Teachers’ Home, ANGRAU, Boiguda, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.
The training programme is aimed to create awareness amongst workers of regulatory bodies, inspection agencies, organizations involved in food exports and imports, quality control laboratories, quarantine labs, various state departments (horticulture, agriculture and veterinary), scientists of SAUs, SVUs and ICAR, about WTO, SPS agreements, Quality standards, Risk analysis methods and pathways, food safety issues to promote Indian agricultural exports.
Filled in registration (Broucher) forms may be sent on or before 20th February 2009 to the Course Director enclosing the DD for Rs. 2500 per person, favoring “The Comptroller, ANGRAU”, payable at Hyderabad. Selection of the participant will be made on the basis of their work experience in the above areas on first come first served basis since the number of slots is limited to 40 only. The travel cost, boarding and DA of the participant will have to be met by the individuals / organisations.
