World Food Day Food and Agriculture Origination proclaimed that October 16 of every year as World Food Day to create awareness of the right for food, need for food, quality of food etc. Due to poverty in the underdeveloped countries huge number of people die every year. So the intense of the occasion of this day is that everyone in this globe should think of those people who are in poverty and help those through our helping hands because every human deserve the right to food. And also to the developed and developing countries it is their duty to provide the ‘GOOD FOOD’ to all.
Food Quality: Ultimately, we lack the meaning of this frame; as today we get food contaminated in contaminated form in many occasions. From water to food, everything is contaminated. Even if the food materials are good, making food with contaminated water make it non-edible, which is meaningless.
Duties: Considering our Indian nation still there are many places which are marked as under poverty. Many people are struggling to get food. So at this moment it is necessary to think of some duties we should render towards our nation. i) Take care of the poor people in your locality. For some functions call those and serve them. ii) “Eat whatever you take, but Don’t waste what you take”- Let’s keep this as the mantra of this Years theme. iii) Many quintals of food grains go waste from the country Godowns due to the lack of preventive and safety handling measures. Mostly due to the insects and animals like rats. Also while transporting many spillings go waste. So, careful transport mechanisms should be handled. If this is controlled then the controlled portion can be donated to the people living in poverty. iv) From the cultivation point of view, the food organization should recommend the farmers to use the natural fertilizers like bio-fertilizers only. Because today’s artificial fertilizers aim at good yield but they leave the land infertility due to the concentration of chemicals. Also the underground water gets contaminated.
So if we are careful at Agriculture, Transport and Usage perspectives we can fight Poverty and delete that word from passing to next generation.

World Food Day:
I wont start my essay descibing what is world food day and what was its history and all. Instead i would like to start it with a fact that there are more than 1 out of 4 in this world who is striving to get both time food in this world. In this world of tremendous competetion and all, the lower class people are becoming more poor and upper class are becoming more richer, as a result of which the gap is increasing.
On this day, it is not the duty of UN alone to do anything, it is not the duty of major politicians who will deliver false promises, it is not the duty of everyone else, it is our duty. On this day let us take a pledge to help those who are needy. For example let us go outside and try to donate some amount to those who are feeding the needy or some organisation like that.
It would also be great to go outside and give some food to thoses who are living by roadside and beggars. Let us all promise that atleast not this day, someone would be striving for food.
For those who are too lazy or are too busy, spend some time in websites like www.freerice.org or any other site that will help the poor get atleast some rice to fill their bellies.
Above all, stop wasting food and have a great helping World Food Day !

World food day has been proclaimed on 16th Octoner by FAO an organization of UNO. Food the most basic need of a living creature whether its human beings, animals, plants or micro organism because it is an essential item for survival. The importance of this day was not given earlier as globally we never suffered such a crisis what we are facing these days as the food items being the major reason for increasingf inflation globally. US blaming India as a major consumer, still starvation is on the peak here. In the recent past agriculture was not on the priority list of our Country and was just a political agenda, but the consequence are evident, so it is now ut most necessary to take this as a serious note and have some targetted plan to increase the agro products and this will be the main acheivement and the best way to celebrate this day.
As per report more than 923 million people suffer from hunger and malnutrition and if the current global crisis remains unabated then there may be exponential rise in the number.
OBJECTIVES OF WORLD FOOD DAY :- 1. The first and utmost important is to increase public awareness about the problem of hunger and malnutrition. 2. To encourage the attention to increase production and this can be done by promoting agriculture and promoting farmers. Our Government has done a great job in waiving 70000 Crores loan of the farmers and now farming may be a charming industry which was not considered earlier. 3. To fight jointly with other Countries against hunger and malnutrition and to encourage global production. 4. To exchange technologies to have a better yeild.] 5. To encourage economic and technical cooperation among all developing countries. 6. Last but not the least involvement of rural population as much as we can, as the agriculture at least in our Country is based at rural areas and without involvement of rural people the goal may remain unacheived.
CONCLUSION :- The basic concept of World Food Day is to fight against hunger and poverty and its the duty of every individual to contribute. We are not farmers but we can contribute by increasing awareness, decreasing wastage and judicial utilization of food. The God fearing people must understand that providing food to a starved person is one step nearer to God and if we can contribute in fighting against it then we can have several steps nearer to God. LETS PLEDGE THAT THIS 16TH OCTOBER WE WILL CONTRIBUTE BY ANY MEANS TO FIGHT AGAINST STARVATION AND MALNUTRITION.
