NOTIFICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO PG DIPLOMA COURSES (TWO SEMESTERS DURATION) Details of Qualifications etc. for Admission to P.G Diploma Courses – 2008-09 Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the following P.G. Diploma courses. Location and number of seats: These courses are offered at the Department of Foods & Nutrition, Post Graduate & Research Centre (Home Science), Rajendranagar, Hyderabad – 500 030. P.G Diploma in Nutrition Therapy 10 seats 2. P.G Diploma in Food Analysis & Quality Control 10 seats Qualifications: The Candidates shall be required to have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission with an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in respect of S.C & S.T. Candidates. TOTAL SEATS: Course Qualification P.G Diploma in Nutrition Therapy B.Sc.(Home Science)/ Nursing / Nutrition as optional P.G Diploma in Food Analysis & Quality Control B.Sc.(Home Sci.)/ Nutrition as optional / B.Sc.(Ag.) / Horti / B.Tech Food Technology Age: The upper age limit is 40 years as on 1st July of the year of admission. Selection : The selection of the candidates shall be based on the marks secured in the qualifying examination. Tuition Fee : The students admitted into the following courses should pay the tuition fee as indicated below in addition to other fee as applicable to M.Sc.(Ag.) and other courses. 1. P.G. Diploma in Nutritional Therapy - (* Tuition Fee: Rs.10,000/- per annum) 2. PG Diploma in Food Analysis & Quality Control (*Tuition Fee: Rs.10,000/- per annum) Note : Other fee shall be extra as applicable to other PG courses: * 50 % concession in tuition fee is available to SC/ST/ BC candidates whose / whose parental or guardian income is less than the prescribed amount (M.R.O. certificate is required ) Sale of Applications: Application and prospectus can be had on payment of Rs.400/- per each from the Associate Dean, College of Home Science, Saifabad, Hyderabad – 500 004, A.P. from 30-6-2008. Applications will also be supplied by post upto 25-7-2008 by the above authority on receipt of requisitions indicating the course for which application is required along with a Crossed Demand Draft for Rs.400/- and one self addressed envelope 12x28 cms duly affixing postal stamps worth Rs.37/- for one application. The Demand Draft should be from any nationalized Bank and drawn in favour of the Comptroller, Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, payable at Hyderabad. Postal orders / Money orders will not be accepted. Last Date: Applications duly filled should reach “The Registrar, Acharya N.G.Ranga Agricultural University, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad-500 030 on or before 30-7-2008 by 4.00 PM.
