Dear Colleagues and Friends,
As part of Jubilee celebrations commemorating 25 years of establishment of this institution as a university, I am happy to announce that this department is organizing “International Conference on Molecular Biology and Biotechnology” during October 19-21, 2008. The conference is likely to attract many eminent scholars/scientists in the field.
The Department of Bioscience & Biotechnology at Banasthali University has various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in biotechnology and allied disciplines and has also made rapid strides in research. Currently, 60 candidates are carrying out research towards their Ph.D. degree. Some of the major research areas are Plant Biotechnology, Plant Tissue culture, Molecular Biology, Plant Biochemistry/ Physiology, Microbial Biotechnology, Immunology, Plant Pathology, Enzymology, Bioinformatics etc.
The conference will cover a wide range of topics on basic and applied subject matters related to molecular biology and biotechnology with the following broad themes:
· Plant Biotechnology
· Stress Physiology & Molecular Biology
· Microbial Technology
· Cell & Tissue Culture
· Animal Biotechnology
· Genomics (including Bioinformatics approaches)
