The much awaited B.E/B.Tech 2014 Anna University Results got published along with PG results 2014. The Anna University Chennai has finally published the UG/PG results for April May June 2014 Examinations. The students who wrote the 2nd, 4th and 06th semester Anna University examinations can now check their results immediately at the Anna University COE server. The results have been published on 14th July 2014 around 01:45 am

The students of Anna University affiliated colleges can follow the steps provided below to check their results. Date of birth of individual student is must to know the results.

The role of internal and external marks in Anna University UG/PG Results 2014
In the COE student portal after login, you will see your results with marks. Minimum 50 marks against each subject is the pass mark. This will include the internal marks also. The external minimum mark should also be 36. The sum of external and internal marks should be 50 to get a pass in a subject. No matter how much the internal marks are. For example, if you have 20 internal marks out of 20 and have scored 30 in external, your result will be fail even the sum of them are 50. That is why minimum 36 is compulsorily required in the external exams. Similarly, if you lack internal marks, it will affect your results. For example, if you scored 36 marks in external and 13 marks in internal, your result will be fail (as 36+13+49 < 50). But if you score more marks in external, you need not to worry about internal marks. For instance, if you score 50 in external, you will get pass even if you have zero mark in internal. So internal marks are always important but external marks are most important.
How to check your results without entering your date of birth
As soon as the results announced, you will not have this facility to know your result without entering the date of birth. However this facility will be available in the Anna University main website - www.annauniv.edu . But the 2014 results of 2nd, 04th and 06 semesters will be uploaded in the main website later within one or more days after announcing the results in COE student portal.
