Development of a foetus In human beings after one month of pregnnancy the embryo's heart is formed.By the end of the second month of pregnancy the embryo develops limb's and digit's.By the end of first trimester ie 12 weeks most of the major organ systems are formed like the limbs and external genital organs.Appearence of hair on the head and first movement of the foetus happens during the fifth month. By the end of 24 weeks (second trimester) the body of the foetus is covered with fine hair,eyelids become seperate and eyelashes are formed.By the end of the ninth month the foetus is fully eveloped and is ready for delivery
