Sunlight is essential for growth of a Plant

Materials: a) A cardboard box with a small hole in it.
b) A plant.

Procedure:- Take a cardboard box and place a small plant into it. Let the box be covered fully. Make a small hole for some air to pass through the box on any sides of the box. After a day or two we can notice that the plant would have grown and would have come out of the small hole which is kept open.

Conclusion :- This experiment proves that the plant grows towards the path of sunlight.

The project is very simple. But, highly informative.I personally feel the name of the project should be "Plant grows along the path of sun light" instead of "Sunlight is essential for growth of a plant".I appreciate MALA for posting such a simple but informative project.Let me suggest this simple experiment for any science fair.
