When plant twigs cut into pencil length and width and put in the clear water, the roots are emerged from the twig and it grows as new plants.
Material -
1. Plant twig from ornamental indoor leafy plant from top such as marigold, dracaena species, etc.
2. Bottle (water bottle or long glass)
3. Water
Procedure-
1. Cut a healthy twig or stem from selected ornamental indoor plant of 12-15 cm (thickness roughly of pencil) from the top of shoot with leaves attached
2. Take this twig or stem and cut the lower portion with sharp knife as a slanting cut
3. Do not remove the leaves from this twig from the top, but remove leaves nearly one-third (5-7 cm) portions from the bottom of stem.
4. Put this in the water bottle or long glass and filled with clear drinking water as soon as possible to avoid drying the stem.
5. Put this glass in house near window where some light will come
Results-
You will be amazed to see that after a week and so, and it will depend on the climate like summer or winter, you will observe roots from the lower portion of stem, which was dipped in the water. You will also observe that the stem is growing and new leaves are emerging and if there was flower bud, then it is blooming. If you replace with fresh water weekly or so, you can enjoy your new plant as much you like longer.

When you will tire from study just look your plant, which you have planted in the bottle.
You will see nice and clear the visible roots and the leaves of ornamental plant, which have different colours, and some time the buds and flowers.
It will give relaxation from your stress in some extent and provide freshness in your mind as you are looking the colours including green.
