Materials Required:-
Tuning Fork,Rubber Pad,Table Tennis Ball/Small Plastic Ball,Thread,Needle.
Procedure:-
Take a tuning fork and set it vibrating by striking its prong on a rubber pad & Bring it near your ear.
(2)You can hear a sound.It is due to the vibration of prong in tuning fork.
(3)Now suspend a table tennis ball or a small plastic ball by a thread from a support(Take a big needle and thread,and then with the help of the needle pass the thread through the ball).
(4)Touch the ball gently with the prong of a vibrating tuning fork.
(5)Observe what Happens.
Observations:-
(1) You observe that the ball moves due to vibration.
Inference:-
(1)This proves that the sound is a vibratory disturbance.
