Hello friends,

Lets simply get started with our project.

This project is for an engineering student of 2nd 3rd year who has a knowledge of IC(integrated chips) like the one 555 timer, which we are using in astable mode not the monostable mode also called as 1 shot mode.
This light alarm can be used in various applications like :

You can use it as a morning alarm.

The alarm has got its use mainly in scientific department where chemicals which are highly prone to light are stored by use of it.The alarm concept is wired in the doors. Its got its use in the field of biology where experiments are done on plants without light etc.

The project consists of a variable resitor, transistor, 555 timer chip, and capacitors and wires.

Let us first start with the components:

R1 acts as a variable resistor Value=100-150k potentiometer Photoresistor.
R2=3.9k , R3=10k , R4=47k simple resistance.
C1=0.01µF C2=1µF C3 =0.01µF capacitances
555 timer chip Astable vibrator
Q1 PNP Transistor.
Voltage source and a speaker=10 ohm,.6 watt.

+ve of R1 Q1 R3 and 8th pin of 555 are connected to +V supply.

The operation of transistor is in forward bias.
In this circuit 555 timer ic acts as a tone generator while the phototransistor gets activated at fall of light ray and triggers transistor to act.It further activated 555 timer which gives the signal to the speaker and a beepis heard.

I've posted the circuit diagram here.Wasnt able to post it here.
Thanks.
