It can be said a clean sweep to UDF. But compared to the clean sweep LDF made during the 2004 general election, this is a bit below the level. Last time only two seats went out of LDF's share, and only one seat UDF could get (the other one was won by an independent, later he went into the fold of LDF). This one was bagged by a Muslim League candidate. So no Mp from Congress could see the Lok Sabha from Kerala last time. This time 16 seats were shared by UDF and four by LDF.Congress Party got 13 seats, two to Muslim league and one to Kerala Congress. In LDF all the four seats were won by CPI(M).
