Modelling is a glamorous field which offers tremendous opportunities to travel and meet various classes of people. And this is one of the most sought after career options for youngsters in India.
Modelling as a profession attracts males and females equally. Modelling is one of the few industries where the earning power of women is higher than that of men.
Modelling can be mainly classified into Television modelling, Print modelling/Still modelling, Ramp modelling/live modelling, Show room modelling, Advertising modelling etc.
Even with all these plus points it involves lot of hard work, dedication and perseverance to be successful in this field. It is a highly competitive and short- lived career.
The job also requires a lot of stamina and patience. It has produce a large and continuing demand for fresh faces and personalities to launch and promote a variety of branded products or show a garment to its best Superiority.
Eligibility for Modelling
There is no specific qualification or age limit to enter into this field. If you stay healthy, take care of yourself, and pay attention to your personal style, you will find opportunities to work as model well into old age.
Main attributes required to become a model is a good and healthy complexion, and lustrous hair. Models should be tall, fashion industry criteria for best models are 5'7" to 6' or 6' plus.
For a man, height should be 6' or 6' plus and he should be muscular. Being photogenic is the single most important quality to have for a model. They must also be open to the rules and principles.
Girls aspiring to be fashion models should ideally be above 5' 7" or 5' 8" in height and the perfect 10 in vital statistics with good hair and skin, expressive eyes, even teeth with a complete Deficiency of self-consciousness.
Attitude, self-confidence, resoluteness and stamina are very important.
Training programs includes instructions on beauty care, make-up, hair styling, diet and exercise, how to walk and carry yourself elegantly and so on. These training programs include guidance on how to make a contract and other technicalities.
Modeling Job Prospects and Career Options
One can get his/her own portfolio prepared with the help of a professional photographer and then get in touch with advertising agencies, model coordinating agencies, film production companies and so on.
Male modeling market expanded with the growth of the international men's clothing industry.
A model could get rich quick and stay around for a comparatively long time by selecting the right kind of work, spacing out ad campaigns to avoid overexposure.
Modeling is a self- centered career and a model has to constantly take care of self. Models today thrive on multiple challenges of modeling, product endorsements, acting, television anchoring, presenting and establishing modeling agencies and training schools.

Modeling is good and well-developed industry now-days. You could get a bright future in this if you and your family have no objection to wear short clothing’s in front of the world.
Eligibility:-
Nothing special..
Major points:-
1. Good Figure/physic means well built and less fat.
2. Good height, above 6” for men and above 5” for female
3. Should be comfortable infront of Camera in any poses.
4. Should be comfortable to wear different types of clothing’s.
5. Should be comfortable to travel outside with crew.
Prospect:-
Good Model can become Actors (like John, Dino etc), Mr or Mrs India/Universe/World or could open a fashion institute of their own.

Career wise modelling is not always a lucrative job unless you are successful.
The physical atttributes for girls for eligibility are:
Height- 5 feet 7 inches.
Good skin texture and lustrous hair.
Career in modelling is usually short lived unless you end up bagging roles in films.(provided you prefer acting as usually majority of models does).You get modelling assignments as long as you look good.For girls after a certain age like 40 plus , the career becomes bleak as designers would prefer younger models.

Modelling : Eligibility
First the basic. A women needs to be at least five feets and ten inches. To began with one can approach the reputed modelling agencies with the portfolio of recent photographs. A good agency would frankly tell you whether you are a right person. Once chosen they groom you and help you choose assignments. You can also do the rounds of fashion magazines, advertisement agencies and even some ace designers. You can even mail your photographs to the agency's model coordinator.

If u are only thinking about ur profession or money making modelling is best but you for sometime think about ur parernts you should recognise that it is not aprofession which will give u name and fame
If its only about money making then please try another job best of luck
