Atorva is the Brand Name of the drug Atorvastatin prepared by Zydus Cadila and is used to lower Cholesterol and Fats in the Blood which help in reducing Heart attacks and strokes.
This is what is mentioned at the company Web Site.
I do not feel that you should be dependent on the medicine to keep your Fats and Cholesterol in Control. Go for a healthy diet and regular exercise and avoid addictions.
You should not go for any medications until and unless really needed and thus I will advice that there should not be any "best" time to take Atorva tablets.
Go for the healthy way instead.

My question has been misunderstood. I was prescribed Atorva by a docotr at Bangalore. He had advised me to take it after dinner. I used to take it regularly. Due some reason I did not take the medicine for a long time. Recently after my blood test for lipid profile my doctor at Bhubaneswar again presribed Atorva. Here he asked me take it on empty stomach before breakfast. Now I am confused, so I put the question to the experts of ISC. So my question is what is the best time of the day to take Atorva.

Atorvastatin, the content of Atorva, is the only drug of the statin group which can be taken either before or after meals. The other statins have strict diet.
You can take Atorva any time either before or after meals.
But taking Atorva before meals is better as empty stomach will facilitate faster and better absorption of the medicine.
I will suggest you going with the advice of the Doctor from Bhubaneswar.
