There is bleeding from my wifes uterus.

dear sir,
I am a recently married person and was happy after 1 1/2 month after marriage. on 8'th of this month i had intercorse and ejaculated in my partner then i given her contraceptive pill (unwanted 72) everything was allright but after 8 days of taking pill she was suffering a lot of bleeding and pain in her stomach.i went to consult my family doctor and he suggest me some energy and multivitamin's and painkiller(2 dose). now she is taking these medicines i want to know that "is anything serious here ?" was she pregnant ?because my doctor didn't tell me.

Hello
There is nothing serious over here because:

1. The pill (Unwanted 72) is a high dose of the drug and this is obvious to cause a side reaction and thus will cause bleeding and pain is to come in where there is a lot of bleeding.

2. check out with your wife that when was her expected date of Menses. If the day comes in when your wife is to bleed and the intercourse takes place nearby the dates of menses and the tablet is given, excessive bleeding can happen.

I will suggest you NOT to give the tablet without the consultation of a Gynecologist.

If intercourse is done just before or after the menses, there is higher chance that you will not need to give the tablet to avoid pregnancy, because pregnancy cannot take place a few days before or immediately after the menses which is known as the safe period, to which still, exceptions can still remain.
