Corticosteroids consist of mineralocorticoids and glucocorticoids. Corticosteroids are known as " wonder drugs" in medical field due to rapid therapeutic improvement seen after use. Steroids have potent anti-inflammatory action and very rapid action
Consult a good dermatologist who will use steropids in a proper dose & schedule. Steroids do have a lot of side effects like excess weight gain, water retention, early epiphyseal closure leading to decreased height, etc.
