UNIT –I
1. Discuss in detail the morphology of carpel. Add a note on carpel polymorphism. 8+6 =14
2. Write a note on different types of pollination. What are the contrivances of self-pollination? 7 + 7 = 14
UNIT- II
3. Write short notes on any two: 7 x 2 = 14
(a) Anomalous secondary growth in Nyctanthes
(b) Root-stem transition
(c) Organization of apical meristem of root
4. What are the anatomical characters considered in taxonomic study? Write a note on role
of anatomical characters in solving taxonomic problems. Illustrate your answer with
examples. 4 + 10 = 14
UNIT-III
5. Define polyembryony. How can polyembryony occur in angiosperm? What is the fate of multiple embryos? 2 + 10 + 2 = 14
