6. Discus the significance of providing welfare facilities to workers.
7. What are the various welfare services available to industrial workers?
8. Explain the significance of maintaining personnel records.
PART B — (4 * 15 = 60 marks)

9. Discuss the role and structure of personnel function in organisations.
10. Describe the process of Human Resource Planning.
11. What is a job description? Describe its contents and utility.
12. What is meant by selection procedure? Indicate the overall selection process step by step.
13. State the objectives of wage and salary administration. Explain the factors to be considered while fixing wages.
14. Why do accidents occur in industries? Suggest the measures to prevent industrial accidents and to provide safety to employees.
15. Explain the techniques that can be used for Personnel Research.
