A formal letter of invitation is always written in the third person. The writer’s address is given not at the beginning but at the end. There is no salutation and no leave-taking or signature.






Sample Usage

Mr. and Mrs. John Fernandez request the pleasure of the company of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Parappilly at dinner on Tuesday, the 3rd of May, at 8 o’clock.
